How Do I Use A Mnemonic Passphrase To Manage Multiple Wallets?
Updated over a week ago

To manage multiple wallets using a mnemonic passphrase, you can create new wallets with different passphrases while using the same mnemonic phrase. In the Coinosh app, you can restore a wallet using the same mnemonic phrase but provide a different passphrase for each wallet.

For example:

Wallet 1: Mnemonic + Passphrase 1

Wallet 2: Mnemonic + Passphrase 2

Wallet 3: Mnemonic + Passphrase 3

By using different passphrases, you can have multiple wallets associated with the same mnemonic phrase. Each wallet will have its own unique passphrase for added security. This allows you to manage and access different wallets without needing separate mnemonic phrases.

It's important to choose strong and unique passphrases to enhance the security of each wallet. If someone gains access to the mnemonic phrase, the passphrases serve as an additional layer of protection. However, if the mnemonic phrase itself is compromised, it is recommended to migrate to a new wallet to ensure the security of your funds.
